Comcast goes fully digital; Valley customers may need adapter for cable service

There's a big change coming for local Comcast customers that will forever affect how they can view their favorite programming.

Comcast is moving to a full digital delivery system in the Central Valley. All customers with basic cable will need a digital transport adapter (DTA), which plugs directly into the TV set. It is free. In addition, all Comcast customers, regardless of their service level, will need to have a converter box on their TV by April 3.
